Position Overview

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive HR Generalist to join our team at All Service Moving, a dynamic and fast-paced moving company. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in onboarding and supporting our employees while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role also involves recruiting duties to keep the organization running smoothly and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

  • Onboarding & Employee Support:
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding, including setting up new hire accounts, systems, and access.
  • Serve as the point of contact for physical and drug screening for new employees.
  • Provide support for employee-related inquiries and resolve HR issues in a timely manner.
  • Policy & Procedure Management:
  • Edit, update, and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company standard
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Answer a wide variety of email inquiries related to HR and company matters.
  • Schedule employee reviews and manage the company’s schedule.
  • Handle unemployment claims and other HR-related documentation.
  • Employee Engagement & Recognition:
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and yearly employee awards by placing and tracking orders.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.
  • Healthcare Administration:
  • Provide healthcare information and assist with benefits administration for employees.
  • Operational Support:
  • Order and distribute driver gas/debit cards.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Recruitment & Hiring:
  • Schedule, conduct, and follow up on hiring interviews for corporate and operations staff.
  • Track hiring and termination of employees and maintain accurate records.
  • Create and manage E-Verify cases to screen new hires.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Familiarity with employment laws and HR compliance.
  • Human resources coordinator or administrative experience
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
  • In-depth understanding of sourcing tools, like resume databases and online communities
  • Familiarity with social media recruiting
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in an HR role, preferably as a recruiter or generalist in a similar industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, but equivalent work experience is acceptable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and.
