100% Remote Workday Cutover Lead || EST Locals Only id-326

We are seeking an experienced Workday Cutover Lead to oversee and manage the cutover process for our Workday implementation. This is a 100% remote opportunity, but candidates must be located in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone to align with project schedules and team collaboration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Workday system implementations, data migrations, and cutover planning, ensuring a seamless transition from legacy systems to Workday.

As the Cutover Lead, you will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing cutover activities, working closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams. You will be responsible for risk mitigation, timeline management, stakeholder communication, and post-go-live support to ensure a smooth transition.

Key Responsibilities:

Cutover Planning & Execution

  • Develop and manage the Workday cutover strategy, timeline, and execution plan for system go-live.
  • Coordinate pre-cutover, cutover, and post-cutover activities, ensuring minimal business disruption.
  • Define and document cutover tasks, responsibilities, dependencies, and sequencing.
  • Establish cutover checkpoints, readiness criteria, and go/no-go decision gates.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with project managers, Workday functional/technical teams, and business stakeholders to align cutover plans with broader implementation goals.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings and communicate updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all impacted teams (HR, Finance, IT, Payroll, etc.) are informed and prepared for the transition.

Risk Management & Issue Resolution

  • Identify potential cutover risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
  • Monitor cutover progress, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Work proactively to resolve roadblocks and ensure smooth system transition.

Data Migration & Validation

  • Oversee data migration activities, ensuring successful data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  • Conduct validation checks to confirm data integrity and accuracy post-migration.
  • Partner with testing teams to ensure all business processes function as expected post-cutover.

Post-Go-Live Support & Stabilization

  • Provide hypercare support post-go-live, ensuring quick resolution of system issues.
  • Gather feedback from users and refine processes to optimize system performance.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer and documentation for ongoing Workday system maintenance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

 Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in ERP or Workday cutover planning and execution.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale system migrations and cutover strategies.
  • Strong understanding of Workday HCM, Finance, Payroll, and Integrations.

 Skills:

  • Expertise in cutover project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, ServiceNow, and Smartsheet.

 Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Workday certifications in relevant modules (preferred).

 Technical Requirements:

  • Must be located in the EST time zone for effective collaboration.
