Sr. Tasting Room Lead job in Walla Walla, WA is available at Spring Valley Vineyard. As a Sr. Tasting Room Lead, you set the tone for the winery experience and will ensure that every guest feels a positive and genuine connection with the winery.

This is a full-time role that is eligible for tips. Candidates will need to have evening and weekend availability.

Sr. Tasting Room Lead Job Responsibilities Include

  • Assist with supervision of tasting room team to create outstanding guest experiences while maintaining high level of customer service.
  • Responsible for daily opening and closing procedures to include cash handling in an accurate and responsible fashion.
  • Keep informed on daily happenings regarding the Tasting Room and help keep team up to speed on changes, events, promotions, and special tours/tastings.
  • Responsible for accurately reporting wine samples and inventory.
  • Assist with fulfillment of wine club and eCommerce orders as necessary, including pulling, packing, and processing wine orders for delivery, as well as curbside pickup.
  • Assist with the set-up, execution/service, and break-down of special events as requested.
  • Conduct wine tastings and events for guests of the winery.
  • Provide accurate information about our wine club and mailing list and encourage guests to sign up.
  • Operate POS/registers to sell wine, merchandise, wine club memberships and to collect wine tasting fees as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with state and company guidelines.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk for extended periods of time.

Position Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent.
  • MAST Class 12 Permit and Food Handlers card required.
  • 3+ years of customer service experience required with supervisory/lead experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to speak comfortably and audibly in front of groups.
  • High level of experience with problem solving and customer resolution while remaining calm and professional.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Goal orientated and able to work as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills with superior knowledge of Point of Sales (POS) systems.
  • Must be flexible and available to work varied hours.
  • History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.

Your Compensation

$23.50 - $30.54 per hour based upon relevant experience.
