Senior Marketing Data Analyst (Greater LA Area, CA or Remote)

Minimum Requirements

  • Years of Experience in Related Field: 3-7
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Data Science, or related field
  • 3-7 years of proven experience in a similar role, specifically in marketing data analysis, with a focus on ROI, channel performance, and pipeline impact
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL for querying databases and extracting relevant data
  • Experience in developing predictive models to forecast the impact of marketing spend on pipeline creation (or a desire to support and learn)
  • Strong experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau or similar
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations for marketing and sales teams
  • Experience in a subscription business (or a desire to learn).

Responsibilities

  • This role will be key to help our Marketing, Business Intelligence, and Finance leadership understand the ROI of Marketing and optimize Marketing to accelerate our growth.
  • You will play a critical part in providing data-driven recommendations, insights, and solutions to optimize our marketing spend and top-of-the-funnel pipeline creation.
  • Your work will directly impact the efficiency and productivity of our funnel, ultimately improving our marketing spend ROI and enhancing the revenue growth for both prospects and customers.
  • You will also work alongside and share knowledge with fellow Sales, Customer, and GTM operations analysts, as well as data scientists.
  • This collaborative environment will foster continuous learning and contribute to the overall success of the team.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of marketing spend across different channels and campaigns, providing insights into the cost-effectiveness of different initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain statistical and machine learning models to measure and predict the impact of marketing spend on pipeline creation.
  • Develop and implement attribution models to accurately assign credit to different marketing campaigns, channels, and touchpoints in the customer journey.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand channel-specific dynamics and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to understand campaign objectives, target audiences, and messaging strategies.
  • Work with stakeholders to refine forecasting models based on data.
  • Create visually compelling dashboards and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau to communicate marketing performance metrics to stakeholders.
  • Generate comprehensive reports highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to marketing spend, pipeline generation, and conversion rates.
  • Implement a continuous monitoring process for marketing spend and pipeline metrics, proactively identifying trends and anomalies.
  • Document methodologies, data sources, and key findings to create a knowledge repository for marketing analytics.
  • Conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions with cross-functional teams to enhance understanding of marketing data insights.
