Job Summary:

As an Independent Travel Agent with our host agency, you will be responsible for planning and booking all aspects of travel for your clients. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Consulting with clients: Understanding their travel needs, preferences, and budget to create personalized itineraries
  • Researching and recommending travel options: Flights, accommodations, transportation, tours, activities, cruises, and travel insurance
  • Booking reservations: Utilizing our booking platform and supplier relationships to secure travel arrangements
  • Providing exceptional customer service: Addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable travel experience
  • Building and maintaining client relationships: Networking and marketing your services to attract new clients and retain existing ones
  • Staying up-to-date on travel trends and destinations: Participating in training opportunities and industry events
  • Managing your own business: Tracking expenses, managing client payments, and achieving sales goals

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present travel quotes and itineraries
  • Process payments and issue travel documents
  • Handle client communication before, during, and after travel
  • Stay current with travel advisories, visa requirements, and health regulations
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development
  • Adhere to all industry regulations and ethical practices

Qualifications:

  • Passion for travel and helping others create memorable experiences
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own time
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with online travel resources
  • Sales and marketing skills are a plus
