As a steward of the company, you are charged with the development and execution of your team's strategic vision and plan and ensuring that your team's actions align with the larger goals of the company and the IT Division.
As the Engineering Manager for the existing Order Management Systems, you will lead product development and delivery of features in collaboration with the Ecommerce Product Management team and Business stakeholders from B2C lines of business in the US and Canada. You will also lead the team to achieve their OKRs for operational excellence by establishing systems observability, optimizing incident management, and ensuring 100% compliance of our SOX controls. In addition to overseeing day to day operations, you will work closely with the broader leadership team on strategy development.
As the primary conduit between your employees and upper leadership, your role in communicating and modeling the values and guiding principles of our company culture is of vital importance. All members of IT Management should strive to consciously and consistently foster a culture of engagement, trust, and "open door" communication.
Job Duties/Essential Functions

• Maintains current knowledge of modern software delivery practices (i.e., release/deployment, code review, infrastructure as code, unit testing, and QA testing procedures).
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology and design patterns as assigned (i.e., Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, backend for frontend, and microservices architectures).
• Demonstrates an understanding of how to implement DevOps practices in a team environment.
• Coaches and mentors' employees on technical and career development.
• This is a full-time management/leadership position (45 hours per week).
• Regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location.

• 3 years' experience leading software development/product engineering teams.
• 3 years' experience developing and deploying enterprise cloud services and web-based applications.
• 3 years' experience working directly in an agile delivery environment with ability to demonstrate extensive knowledge of agile delivery practices.
• Possesses an executive presence, a high level of professionalism, and a focused commitment to excellence.
• Working experience with infrastructure as code building CI/CD pipelines, from a greenfield scenario.
• Familiarity with common development frameworks (i.e. Java, Javascript, node.js, .Net, and PowerShell).
• Ability to efficiently manage and coordinate responses to software application incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on end-users.
• Extremely responsive, with a strong sense of urgency.
• Able to support off hours work as required, including weekends, holidays, and 24/7 on call responsibilities.
• HIPAA Training and Supervisors Orientation (within 30 days of hire); Leadership Development 101 (within one year); Costco Pay Policies (within 90 days of promotion).
