Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a warm and engaging environment for customers, ensuring superior service.
  • Complete the Management Training Program to further develop your leadership capabilities.
  • Recruit, hire, and mentor a qualified Assistant Manager with insight from your District Manager.
  • Collaborate with your Assistant Manager to attract and train store personnel effectively.
  • Consult with your District Manager regarding personnel or operational challenges, or escalate to the Regional Vice-President or Senior Vice-President if necessary.
  • Maintain inventory shrinkage at or below 2.5% of annual sales and aim for a Shrink Check Test score of 80 or higher.
  • Enforce company safety protocols while fostering relationships with local law enforcement for security support.
  • Create weekly personnel schedules while adhering to budgetary constraints and promptly resolving issues.
  • Delegate responsibilities efficiently and ensure all employees are trained in their respective roles, in alignment with company policies.
  • Ensure organization and cleanliness throughout the store, including merchandise displays and stockroom areas.
  • Oversee the processing of merchandise receipts and ensure proper pricing according to company guidelines.
  • Communicate timely with the District Manager regarding defective merchandise, sales trends, and shipment issues.
  • Manage the store's cash fund and sales receipts, strictly following cash handling and security procedures.
  • Maintain accuracy in all reports, records, and inventories, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Inform your District Manager of any planned absences during work hours.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of store sales and company information.
  • Obtain District Manager approval for expenditures over $50.00.
  • Adhere to the working hours designated by your District Manager and embrace additional responsibilities as required.
  • Implement corporate initiatives, including incentive plans and promotions, to enhance associate and customer experiences.
  • Exhibit exemplary leadership qualities through professionalism, effective communication, knowledge, and sound judgment to elevate store morale.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required; an AS/AA degree with two years of related experience is preferred.
